In the colonial room of the Smithsonian Institute, a young couple find themselves under the gentle spell of the past. They are trying to imagine what sort of people lived in a room like this one, and what gifts they might have exchanged on Christmas Day. However, the customs in the colonial days were very different, and in old Plymouth, Christmas was against the law!
