All is quiet in the Gildersleeve household this December evening. The family has just finished dinner and the great man is in his den resting his overstuffed figure in his overstuffed chair. His eyes are closing drowsily when suddenly he sits up with a start, he’s made a great discovery Christmas is coming and he hasn’t began his shopping yet. Gildy decides he’s not leaving it until the last minute this year, he’ll start tomorrow but Leroy and Marjorie think it is already late to be sure to get everything.
