Men of the sea are superstitious, and many details which would be deemed innocent by a landsman, have ominous interpretations, so it's not surprising that there are many wild tales of hauntings and shipwrecks. On board one particular schooner, the skipper, a huge brawny seaman named Todd, had one outstanding characteristic - he was deeply religious and always carried a parson to hold services.
