A broker from the Columbia Life and Accident Insurance Company in Chicago had sold $50,000 straight life policy on a man named Lane. Mr. Lane dropped dead a couple of days ago from starvation. Johnny Dollar was interested in investigating the case of a man who could afford to spend so much on life insurance but then die of malnutrition.
