James Barton, a nineteen year old kid, found lying beaten to a pulp in an alley. He wasn't mugged, as his pockets are still full, so during the Christmas season of peace and goodwill to all men - who would drag the poor boy into a sewerage system and beat him so badly - and why? A few months earlier, James had been injured in an automobile accident. Maybe the two incidents are linked somehow?
