Private detective Richard Diamond and lieutenant Walt Levinson are attending a police convention in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where Walt has been asked to speak. Isabell Kroner a police woman from Switzerland gets killed right smack in the middle of the gathering of the best cops in the country. The Sherriff was called in and he expected to see some fancy investigating from the cops present but it was the sheriff who solved the case and Diamond and Walt decide they shouldn't mention their avenue of investigation for fear that Otis would never let them live it down!
