Lum believes he has hit upon the secret of Cedric’s sudden and apparently unlimited wealth. After hearing grand pappy read the story of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp Lum became convinced that the lantern which Diogenes Smith left for Cedric to carry during his absence is another Aladdin’s Lamp.
