Lum believes is still convinced that the lantern which Diogenes Smith left for Cedric to carry during his absence has the magic powers of an Aladdin’s Lamp. However Cedric loaned the McMillan boy the lantern for their fishing trip and by mistake he gave them the one belonging to Diogenes.
