Clay Macklin was a prisoner in the Dodge jail under Doc’s watch. While Doc was making some coffee Macklin asked if he could have some coffee and when Doc took it to him Macklin jumped him and escaped. Clay Macklin had been rustling cattle for the last two years and everyone knew it but they had nothing on him. Marshall Matt Dillon and Chester set off to bring him back.
