Lieutenant Riley is in a particularly bad mood, as he has had to let Conney Greer go despite knowing that he was responsible for three big Jewellery robberies. Then Mrs Dudley Banks calls at the police station and demands to see lieutenant Riley. She has been robbed in broad daylight; her female Persian cat called Fluffy has gone missing and she is certain that she has been stolen.
