It’s late in the afternoon as Nick and Patsy enter the luxurious Brentwood Arms Hotel in answer to a call from Irvin Malcolm president of Gigantic Films Incorporated. He is located on the 16th floor and the lift attendant tells Nick and Patsy that the Maharaja of Janiphur has the 14th And 15th floor to him self and has his own elevator. He wears a diamond star in his turban known as the star of evil, which is worth over a quarter of a million bucks. Mr. Malcolm however is concerned about his 17-year-old daughter Linda who has been missing for nearly seven hours.
