This episode is a spinoff of Molle Mystery Theater known as Mark Sabre.

Since the death of her son Mrs Wright has been suffering from psychological identification she identifies herself with her daughter-in-law the woman she hates in order to regain the affections of the son she lost through this woman. She carries this delusion so far that she now believes herself to be her sons murderer. When Inspector Mark Sabre receives a letter from Mrs Wright confessing to the murder he and Sergeant Tim Maloney need to find out if Mrs Wright is telling the truth or as nutty as they say.
