It's 4:20 in the afternoon of an extremely warm day. Driving back to the city, Nick and Patsy meet a car driving towards them at top speed, on the left side of the road. It's a woman driving, and as she hits the back of their car, she spins out of control and ploughs head on into a tree where she is flung through the windscreen. Nick and Patsy rush over to see if she is okay, but she's in a bad way. She is saying over and over 'I can't die, he'll do it again, he'll marry again, and he'll kill again for the insurance'. Was this the innocent automobile accident it seemed, or is it cold blooded murder?
