It was Saturday afternoon in New York two days before Christmas and on Manhattan’s busy corners Santa Clauses ring bell while people rush to do their last minute Christmas shopping. One of those frantic shoppers is a man named Larry Stirling but the prices in the store windows stupefy him and as he shakes his head sadly a small delivery truck along side and the driver who’d been watching him for a minute calls to him. His name was Walter Haines and he offered him the chance to buy a fox fur jacket for $75. However his wife told him it was a skinned rabbit coat and was only worth $20 so wondering why so many people had turned up at his apartment looking for the jacket he turns to The Falcon to investigate.
