Case Of The Sunken Dollar

Case Of The Sunken Dollar

Broadcast: 29th June 1947
Added: Jul 01 2011
Jason Grange was a coin dealer who had one of the rarest coins in the USA, an 1804 silver dollar of which there are only three remaining of the 19,000 produced at the time after they were sunk at sea. A woman purporting to be the daughter of an old friend of Grange’s and her accomplice killed Grange and stole the coin leaving only the corner of a counterfeit $500 bill and the date 1804 written on the floor in blood for the police and Nick Carter to solve the mystery.
