It’s Sunday night in New York and in a midtown hotel room an ugly smile that is almost a sneer twists the thin lips of stocky Ed Taylor as he looks with bored and sleepy eyes at the young man who is pacing the floor in front of him. George Conrad asks him if he is going to get his money or not then Taylor takes his gun from him and sends him on his way. Conrad doesn’t know it but Taylor is working with a guy named Moody who then decides to kill two birds with one stone. He takes Conrad’s gun and kills Taylor so framing him for the murder.
