The lights are out at the old Brownstone mansion on the corner of 5th and 4th. In the darkened laboratory, the strange whine of electricity sounds, and under the pale purple aura of ultra violet, Nick Carter and Patsy are piecing together a man's last will and testament, when 'Scubby' the journalist walks in. He is heading to a case at a farm upstate and he wants Nick's help. A famous explorer called Lucas apparently brought back a couple of horses from his adventures which not only howl, but have been known to kill cattle, ripping them apart with their teeth... Now they're being named as suspects in a murder!
