Henri Vivard’s wife Mary had been convicted of a murder that he had committed and sentenced to life in jail so how could it be that she was brought with Sergeant Freeman to the rest house where he now resides? He guesses that he has brought her to identify him. Three years ago after the murder Henri walked in to the rest house with $200,000 and no identification claiming that he had amnesia but Henri Vivard had never been able to forget.
