Johnny was intending spending Christmas in Palm Springs when Pat McCracken called with a job. Intent on spending Christmas in the sun Johnny declined but the lure of a Christmas bonus changed his mind! In a gold town an old prospector was breathing his last and wanted to change the beneficiary on a $50,000 policy to Carmen Kringle but the nephew Ned Kringle threatened to sue if they let him.
