Sheriff Benton is coming to Dodge all the way from Witchita and wants to see Marshall Matt Dillon while he is there to warn him about trouble that may be headed to Dodge in the form of a bank robber by the name of Jack Tolliver. On the earlier stage an old girl friend of Matt’s by the name of Cara had arrived and Matt thought that she seemed different to when he had known her in Arizona.
