Red Ryder and Little Beaver are riding leisurely in to what is a new country for them, the rich gold-mining valley of Bullion Bend. In the West wherever there are shipments of gold there are usually to be found lurking bands of outlaws. At any moment these bandits may be expected to spring from the shadows of the mesquite brush and shout that frightening cry, “hands up…”
