Copping Corners was an ordinary, dusty town like any of the others in the west - just a few shacks clustered around a water hole where two trails met. There was a little general store which never really did any business. Lige Perkins, owner of the store, should have been sour and crabby, but instead Lige was always looking out toward the distant peaks of the bison range, and he was always singing a song.
