Rudy Harun was described in the wanted circulars as twenty years old, dark, slight build, soft spoken and a potential killer. Harun had shot and seriously injured the father of a girl who he had been dating. After the shooting, he left New York and was seen in Pittsburgh and was known to have been in Kansas City. The bureau was asked to help in the search for Harun, believed to be traveling in a stolen car, a late model Ford convertible.
