The spirit of the Barbour family has been somewhat subdued by their great loss. But having set their minds to the task of devoting themselves and their thinking to the world of the living, they're finding it much easier to go ahead with the daily tasks before them. There was one crisis which was reached and safely passed, and that was Joan's struggle with pneumonia. All the while, the weight of the other tragedy had been so heavily upon everyone that Joan was over the hump and on the mend before anyone realized what had happened!
