Thomas Gerald Aspinwald is a man who would stop at absolutely nothing to get his paws on the Archibald fortune. Archibald is a big stockbroker with a terminal illness leaving him only weeks to live. Tom Aspinwald was married for a while to Archibald’s daughter Emily and is last in line to inherit the fortune after his stepson five year old Barry. In his original will he left half his fortune to Emily and half to Tom but in a new will he left half each to his daughter and her son Barry unless the youngster dies before the old man does. Now Aspinwald is planning on taking his stepson Barry on a fishing trip and killing him by making it look like an accident.
