Floyds of England insurance company received a transatlantic call from someone trying to contact Johnny Dollar. He identified himself as the Chat Gris meaning the grey cat but Johnny Dollar who knew exactly who he was. His real name was DeMarsac and he was a character who knew a lot about the Paris underworld. When he called he mentioned a small oil painting known as the Blue Madonna, which was owned by Mr Kingsley Holland of Philadelphia and was insured for $12,000. Chat Gris had some interesting information about the painting.
