Harry Speener was found on the trail, thrown from his horse and with a broken leg. He's a mean-spirited, ungrateful chap, a stark contrast to the man who rescued him, Joe Harp, who seems like a lovely, kind and likeable fellow, who likely saved Speener's life by dragging him out of the sun to the shade until he could holler for help.
