Black Curtain, The

Black Curtain, The

Broadcast: 30th November 1944
Starring: Cary Grant
Added: Aug 22 2008

This suspense play, which stars Cary Grant and is produced and directed by William Spier, is the exciting and tense bestseller by Cornell Woolrich called The Black Curtain.

"It began, or rather life began again for me I guess you'd say, that day in that street. My head was pounding terribly. I could hear all the noise and the people milling around, everything was a jumble at first." Frank Townsend had apparently slipped on an icy sidewalk and hit his head but had no recollection. The last he could remember was December 1940.

Repeat of the broadcast on 2nd December 1943. Of course it has a different introduction from the Man in Black and Cary Grant in person closes the program.
