When a bird dog trainer has a litter of pups, he teaches his son and the little boys friend about how they are trained, and what happens to the ones which are no good. The two boys decide to raise a scrawny little pup themselves, after it's deemed untrainable, and they're determined, against all odds, to turn the misfit hound into a hero.
