Ken Carpenter opens the show by introducing tonight's Master of Ceremonies - the beloved crooner, Bing Crosby, who then sings Abraham with the Charioteers, and the Music Maids. Next up, Bing reads out some messages from the troops serving overseas. One of the requests is for a rendition of Embraceable You sung by the lovely Janet Blair. The Lancashire lad is up next, Pat O'Malley, who recites the poem, Albert and the Lion.
