Mrs Lenore Kirkby feels that her son Bill Kirkby who is also a private detective has been acting strangely for the last month or so. She is concerned that he is acting nervously and when his sister Gloria asks him what is wrong he flies off the handle. Then his sister Gloria discovers hundreds of dollars in his pocket and Gloria and her mother fear that he is involved in something illegal and seek Richard Diamond for help.
