Berenice has been adapted for the CBS Radio Mystery Theater by George Lowthar from Edgar Allan Poe’s tale of intense horror to say nothing of mystery.
Ernest is haunted by the smile of his wife, the smile that he once fell in love with. But after being married for a little more than a year, he feels nothing but hatred for her. Now she is dying, and he cannot find any remorse for the way he feels. Whilst she is laying in her death bed, he commits the ultimate betrayal and falls in love with her younger sister, Constance. But sister's can have similar features... Will the smile of his wife reach beyond the grave to torment him after her death?
