The story begins in the beautiful mountain region of Lake Mead, Arizona. A convertible car is speeding along a deserted road which winds through the mountains. The car slows down and turns into a dirt road. A few minutes later it comes to a stop before a small mountain lodge. Kathy Evans, an attractive girl in her early 20s, gets out of the car and runs up the steps to the front door. She knocks impatiently , looking about anxiously.
