A big wheel in Chicago's Rockport society, Ellen Beauregard, has had her sapphire necklace stolen, which is insured for $30,000. Shortly after it disappeared, the insurance company received a call from a known jewel thief, Benny Stark, who wants to make a deal, since he is apparently the one who is in possession of the necklace.
