Many things were changed during the war the face of the earth was altered and the people of the earth changed. Before the war Frank Race was an attorney but he traded his law books for the cloak and dagger of the OSS. And when it was over his former life was over too. Adventure had become his business. Frank Race is in Paris in his hotel when two beautiful brunettes approach him. One of them was Paulette Du Broc whom he’d previously met during the war in 1943. She was in trouble and needed his help. A gang of men had been stalking her and the previous night she’d been fired upon.
