The sun is setting slowly behind Crag Mountain in a blazing ball of red and yellow fire casting a golden glow down the hot and dusty main street of Ridge Creek. It’s a small cow town its main street flanked on either side by the low wooden one-story buildings. Hopalong Cassidy and his pal California ride down the nearly deserted street and head to the Silver Dust café where they are to meet Sheriff Dunkin.
