In his rather untidy bachelor apartment Casey slumps comfortably in his comfy chair reading the Popular Mystery Story when he receives a phone call from a mysterious woman who frantically warns him that his apartment is being watched and when he goes to his garage to set off for work he is going to be killed. Casey is sceptical but calls Logan at the police anyway. When they arrive they notice a suspicious car a black sedan.
