Bob Burns reprises his film role as the Arkansas Traveler, an itinerant printer, who returns to a small town to help save the local paper, The Daily Record. The newspaper was started by Mr Allen, an old friend who is now deceased, and it's run by Allen's widow Martha and her son Benny. 

Fay Bainter, Jean Parker and Dickie Moore, join Bob in their original movie roles.
