George Valentine goes to help Lieutenant Riley because there’s a man dying in the police hospital who might tell what he knows bout the slot machine racket provided somebody help him find his girl Betty. Valentine discovers that there is somebody else in Betty’s life, someone a little more successful, a man who calls himself Mr Black who owns the slot machines and whose identity is a secret even from his own employees.
