Albert Ricker is a department foreman with a destruction company. Once he was a man of skill and intelligence before he was subjugated to the insidious will of Eugene Margo a vicious man whose promises of easy riches through gambling engulfed first his judgment and then his confidence and finally his honesty causing him to risk even more money, money that was not his own in a desperate and futile effort to recover his losses.
