A bit of a strange story, about a man who put his daughter in an orphanage and went off to war. When he is killed, he asks his friend, a handsome gambler, to look after her and he agrees. The girl doesn't remember her father, but when she grows up, there are some complications in the relationship between her and the surrogate father.
