Lum and Professor Sloane are going ahead with their plans to build the Edwards Observatory on one of the hilltops surrounding Pine Ridge. Yesterday they climbed Piney mountain to look it over as a possible sight for the observatory, but this journey was marred somewhat by a pair of oversized boots which Lum was wearing, and also by the fact that a sack of grasshoppers was taken along, in place of their lunch.
