Even Lum’s trump card, a pretended nervous breakdown failed to get him back in to the store and bakery so he’s just about at the end of his plans to get him Abner’s sympathy. Abner on the other hand is having quite a struggle running the shop alone and is on the verge of dropping his stern pose and taking Lum back.
