It was the coldest night of the year in Cincinnati, the night that they took the ransom money to Mardery Forrest in an effort to catch the kidnappers who had stole away Mayor Plumpfront’s girlfriend Miss Daffodil Dilly right before they were married. They were coming to get $250,000 in cash but Detective Ukey Butcher had an idea that they could wrap up some old newspapers and just make it look like money and then they were going to jump on the kidnappers before they could get the money.
