It was almost midnight and raining heavily. Anna left the cheap hotel, where Mario had been in hiding. There was no reason for Mario to hide anymore, she was thinking as she started the long walk back to the rooming house she owned. She walked slowly, oblivious to the rain which soaked her shoes and coat, sombre and desperately lonely. The door was closed, and she'd never see Mario again now, and it was her own doing...
