Bill Mead, Kitt's husband and Ben Calvert's son in law, walked out of an office near the square in Wakefield, closed the door bearing the legend 'Angus McKillen - Attorney at Law' and went slowly down the corridor. He came out into the street opposite the little park which formed the center of town, where some children were chasing a ball.
