George Adamson was worried about his son Chris after he disappeared following an argument over money. George wanted his son to join the family business but Chris wanted his inheritance to invest in a business of his own. When George later received a call from kidnappers demanding £10,000 for his return he was prepared to pay anything for the safety of his son.
