A man is driving on a rainy night to Dover where he plans on taking the night ferry to France. He is 30 miles away when he switches the radio on and hears that an elderly woman has been found brutally murdered in her home Kent. Suddenly he has to brake for a man standing in the middle of the road. The man tells him that he has broken down and needs to hitch a lift.
