Arthur was the writer of these grisly, macabre fifteen-minute thrillers. Maurice Tarplin played Dr Weird, the narrator of these fantastic tales. The closing line was always the same: “Oh, you have to leave now – too bad! But perhaps you’ll drop in on me again soon. I’m always home.
