FIRST BROADCAST: 1937 LAST BROADCAST: 1938 CAST: Unknown actor as Speed Gibson, Howard McNear, John Gibson, Hanley Stafford, Elliott Lewis, Sam Edwards WRITERS: Virginia Cooke Speed Gibson of the International Secret Police – 1937-1938 This adventure series, written by Virginia Cooke, featured Speed Gibson, a fifteen-year-old pilot, whose quest was to capture the master criminal “The Octopus” and his ruthless gang of henchmen. Clint Barlow was Speed’s uncle, an agent of the International Secret Police. Together they flew all over the world in their airship, the “Flying China Clipper”, trying to apprehend the arch villain. RUSC Old Time Radio (or RU Sitting Comfortably to give the site its full title) is a web site specializing in the wonderful world of old time radio.
